Birdwatching
Lesjaleira in Lesja is a valuable area for animal and bird life. The wetland area is particularly important for migrating waders and ducks, and approximately 170 bird species have been observed in the area, of which 70 are nesting.
Lesjaleira has a special history, and along the way the guide will explain what makes this area so special, as well as what kind of species you can expect. The trip takes about 2.5 hours. The safari is arranged as a bus trip, and is therefore suitable for anyone with an interest in birds. The bus stops when observing interesting birds, and we don't walk far from the bus. The guide brings a telescope for spotting animals and birds.
The tour is offered in May and June, but if spring comes early, it can be arranged as early as April. The safari is only available with a private guide and upon request.
Price: NOK 3250 for groups of up to 12 people.
Overnight stay at birdwatching tower
From this year, it is also possible to spend the night in a birdwatching tower! You wake up several meters above the ground to birds chirping around you, and maybe you even see a moose or other animals?

Vårstigen
The hike to Vårstigen is a cultural-historical walk in Dovrefjell with beautiful views.
“Vårstigen” may sound idyllic, but for several hundred years, this harsh trail was feared by travelers. Later, the area, with its many plants, became popular among botanists, and today, the trail is loved by pilgrims and hikers. Vårstigen passes through parts of Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park.
At the end of May or early June, you may be lucky enough to experience newborn musk ox calves. Despite the distance, this is a favorite among our guides!
Along with a guide, you’ll follow a trail that has been in use for hundreds of years. Along the way, you'll learn about the history, the rich flora, and many cultural landmarks. The hike takes about 3 hours and requires moderate fitness. We recommend wearing hiking shoes and bringing extra clothing.
This hike is arranged from May to October. The tour is only available upon request with a private guide.

At the end of May or early June, you may be lucky enough to witness newborn musk ox calves. They leap and dance on the opposite side of the valley, and despite the distance, this is a clear favorite experience among our guides!
Viewpoint Snøhetta
Together with our guide, you go to "Viewpoint Snøhetta", an award-winning building designed by architectural firm Snøhetta. Along the way, you will learn how important Dovrefjell is to the local population, from the last ice age to now. You will learn about wild reindeer and the first people in Norway, about Viking kings who were sent here, and how the area went from a military training area to a national park. And with a bit of nice weather, you get to experience the mighty view towards Snøhetta.
This is an easy trip of approximately 6.5 km, which takes 3-4 hours and is therefore suitable for all ages. You need hiking boots and warm clothes. The guide has a telescope to spot musk, and maybe even wild reindeer.
This tour is offered from June to October, and only with a private guide upon request.

Lectures
Dovre & Lesja Aktiv offers lectures for groups. The lectures can e.g. held as entertainment at courses, meetings or in connection with lunch/dinner.

Teambuilding
We also offer team-building activities with the theme "Dovrefjell". Through play and fun, the participants will test their cooperation skills, feel team spirit and mastery and solve logical and practical tasks together. We can offer various activities indoors or outdoors. The scheme is suitable for groups of 8-50 people, and can take between 1 and 3 hours. We can offer this in Dovre, Lesja, Folldal, Oppdal and Alvdal.
Indoors
Through quizzes, riddles and other tasks, the teams must collect as many points as possible. Who knows a lot about Dovrefjell's history, or writes the best poem in Peer Gynt style? The indoor arrangement does not require a lot of space, suitable for e.g. meeting room.
Outdoor activities
Outside, participants must use their heads in combination with physical activity. Who gets across Kongevegen the fastest, how do you navigate through the shooting range, and who manages to hunt a reindeer? The number and type of activities depends on group size, time and weather.
